Photos!!!

Bandie & Skor's Litter @ 16 Days

Adina & Skor's Litter @ 18 Days

Nestbox removal

I noticed that the kits no longer chill out in the nest box so I decided to remove both the next boxes. I placed dried timothy hay at the corner of the cages where they like to cuddle up most of the time.

They are a feisty lot and likes running around.

Comparison

I just got an urge to compare these 2 current litters with their mummies' litter. I am looking at the structure and overall disposition.

This is Unix's litter at 12th Day:
Adina's Litter at 12th Day:
Bandie's Litter at 13th Day:
There are a few considerations that I have to put in mind when comparing. Unix had 6 in her litters and all her kits survived. In terms of milk production and delegation, I thought she did a super good job. Adina's litter needless to say that it is quite obvious she had ample of milk supply. Bandie's milk production is all time low I believe. Sob sob....

Cuteness!!!

What does all these photos have in common???

CUTE-NESS!!!!

I have to admit that since young, I was a really sucker for cute things. Sorry it may sound a little "sissified" but it remains a fact even though I am a father now.

I took a couple of cute photos of the bunnies today (again...).

Wadya starin' at???

See, my ear is falling down already...

What's with that CORNER?

This one's reserved..May be a boy...
The structure caught my attention...

Look at that paw and head..

Massive head?

Awwww...isn't that cute?

I am having headache already with Adina's litter. Which should I keep? What should I go for? Structure? Boy or Girl matters? Oh my goodness...My mind is getting messed up already...

I am little disappointed with Bandie's litter development. Maybe it is because I am comparing her kits with Adina's I really do hope they will grow up faster and show signs of massiveness soon. I wanna decide which to keep ASAP.

Today being the 13th day for Bandie's kits, 2 of them still did not have their eyes open. I had to intervene by prying those eyes open "manually". Guess they are too lazy to open their eyes on their own. Here they are:

Seriously, I am not racist...but these 2 are really dark. I find it so hard to take their photos. Most turned out so dark I cannot even see their eyes...

Inspired & Hopeful...

I hope Skor is my version of Rio in this article by Laurie. I hope to exceed 100% perfection.

How Line Breeding Can Help Improve Quality

Adina: Living up to her name

When I first saw Adina, she had part of her hind leg dangling and I "removed" it. I named her Adina because it means GOOD. And so far, she has proved to me that she is indeed a good doe. Her kits looked promising and I hope they continue to grow up pretty and handsome so that I could be proud to say, these are produced by a 3.5 legged bunny.

Litter 1 @ Day 12

Laurie always give good advice & information

I usually drop by Laurie Stroupe's blog whenever I am surfing the internet. She never fails to give good advice and post informative write ups. I came across another good blog entry today and thought it would be worthwhile to share:

Baby Bellies

Color blindness...

Turned out, I may be color blind. Not just me alone but my other friend who have seen the 2 black kits. They are indeed black. Someone just confirmed that with me and the chocolate color reflected under direct sunlight was due to oxidation. It is caused by our tropical climate. That is not counted as black. Chocolate gene is recessive so I believe neither Bandie nor Adinna has this gene in them. In order to get chocolates, both parents must have that gene.

Anyhow, they are all lovely whether black, white, green, red or blue...

Alfafa Hay Shortage or Outage?

This is the worst nationwide (Klang Valley area) Alfafa shortage ever! PLC out, Pet Family out, Pets Wonderland closed down (1 Utama). And I had no choice but to get cheated by this pet shop in Damansara Uptown. They charged me RM15 for a repacked of 700g. They claimed that it was 1kg. Maybe it was 1kg to begin with before the hay got dried up. Should have taken the Benjy pack instead. They are definitely not fresh but I am convinced edible.

I hope Kool Bunny alfafa arrives soon. Even Timothy Hay has limited stock. The petshops usually carry 1st cuts but now only limited 2nd cuts.

Oh NooooOOOooooOOooOoooooo......

Photo shoot

I got my sister-in-law to capture some nice pictures of Skor today. The rest of the herd are not in good shape to participate in the photo shoot. LOL...

Here are some of my favourites:
