Binky Free My Little Seychel

Thank you all for your prayers. I believe it has been answered one way or another. As I was preparing the pineapple juice, Seychel was already at her last lap of battle. She was very weak and I noticed something that gave me a reason believe that it was not G.I. Stasis.

It was very clear today that Seychel was having difficulty breathing. She was breathing through her mouth as I noticed her tilting her head upwards. I thought that my pineapple juice would be given in vain and I believe by using the syringe it would clog up her breathing passage further. By then she was struggling to sit upright.

I held her in my arms for a couple of minutes and she started to go into convulsion, let out a squek and breath her last.

As many articles have written, fur block or G.I. Stasis is caused by an underlying problem. There was a reason why Seychel wasn't eating and drinking. There are too many possibilities ranging from respiratory problems to even heart attack. Whatever it is I would like to put a rest to all the speculation and allow her to rest in peace. The only consolation I have is that, at least she was in my arms when she breath her last and no one else had to go through this pain except for me.

Good bye my dear Seychel, I prayed that you will get well and indeed you got much more than I prayed for. Send my regards to Unix, Micro, Latara and all the little TLR bunnies at rainbow bridge. Love you lots!

I Like Chocolates & Sundays!

Truffles turn 6 months today while Seychel will be 6 months in 12 days time.

I always catch Little Seychel sitting upright in her cage and at certain angles, she's really pretty. It would be perfect if her ears are a little shorter. I wish I had the DSLR today because she was posing for me. Anyhow, here's a photo captured with the regular camera.

I am so proud of my own breedings at the moment. These 2 kits are cool! Oops, no longer kits, they are both grown ups now!

In case you didn't know, Seychel is a broken chocolate doe. Hope to get nice solid chocolates from her!

A Good Decision Made

I am very happy that I made the decision to keep Seychel for my breeding program because she is in fact turning out to be quite a nice brood specimen. The only complain I have is her long ears. I proud to say that she is a shorter version of Noobie as far as the mid section is concerned. I guess she'll be the foundation of my chocolate project.

Can't you see that I am bored of you taking my photos?

Starting Young

I thought it was a nice day to take photos of Seychel as she is coming out of her baby fur molt. Then came Beth walking pass after her “marketing” play pretend session. We all know that it takes many years of experience to be a qualified rabbit judge. I guess Beth’s starting really young. Here’s what happened in pictorial mode:

On a serious note, Seychel is not the perfect brood specimen but I will be using her in my chocolate project nonetheless. By the looks of it, she seemed to have the characteristics of an F1 choc Holland Lop. Whatever it is, she deserves a chance to be a brood doe.

Updates On Tattoo

This is a post requested by Mr. Darma. He told me that the word "tattoo" seemed to be on his mind and wanted to know how the tattoo turned out thus far. I was kind of disappointed with Truffles' tattoo as I though his was the best.

I believe single digit is one of the reasons why the tattoo seemed to have faded. If I have 3 or 4 digits, they would be a little more legible.

Can you see 1?
Can you see 1?

On the other hand, I expected the least from Seychel's tattoo but it turned out much legible compared to Truffles'.

Can you see 2?

I hope Mr. Darma is happy with this update and thanks for the suggestion.

Seychel's Staying

Seychel was scheduled for spaying in July and then passed on to her new owner Farah a week after that. Due to the reason that I needed another brood doe for the rabbitry, I had a little discussion with Farah and she ended up offering me to keep Seychel instead.

I am truly grateful to Farah for her understanding and I am very happy to be able to keep Seychel with me.

Thanks a million Farah!
