I was reading through the history of Holland Lops (yet again...) today and something struck my head. It was written in many materials that Holland Lop was developed using French Lop, Netherland Dwarf and also English Lop.
So it got me thinking of the possibility of breeders getting specimens the likes of either one of those breeds. Somewhere along the breeding, I believe some breeders may encounter some kits growing up having the resemblance of French Lop for instance. Since genetics is something quite unpredictable, I believe that there is a POSSIBILITY.
Meaning to say, those Holland Lops that do not adhere to the breed standards I believe are manifestations of these genes.
